“Art Is Young” is an artistic project aiming to give voice and visibility to new and young artistic talents. Now in its third year, the initiative will involve 45 Italian and international artists, including performers, photographers, painters, filmmakers, designers, and sculptors, serving as a platform for their emergence and for sharing their works.
The project was created to offer young creatives an alternative to digital spaces, allowing them to bring their worldview to physical venues where art can be experienced and appreciated live. This year, unlike previous editions, the organization introduced a selection process directed at Italian Universities and Academies and open to applications from across Europe, with over 170 artists participating. This selection enabled careful and harmonious curation that authentically and spontaneously represents the messages and ideas of young artists.
The “Art Is Young” program offers the public immersive artistic experiences: from the opening evening on November 2, featuring live music, live painting, and food trucks in collaboration with the cultural center “Tempio del Futuro Perduto,” to a showcase of Italian and animated live-action short films in partnership with the French university ESMA. Additionally, there will be roundtable discussions with figures from the world of culture and creativity on the role of art today, along with theatrical performances that complete an offering designed to inspire and engage.
The initiative is promoted by the cultural association “Young View” and supported by the Milan Community Foundation, with the goal of creating a space for encounter and dialogue for a generation looking to shape its future through art. “Art Is Young” aims to renew itself over time, evolving into an annual showcase that highlights the pure and authentic beauty of creative youth.
