Concept
Extreme Present is an exhibition experiment that explores the relationship between past, present, and future through design, art, and sustainability. The exhibition invites the public on an immersive journey through objects, images, sounds, and ideas, encouraging reflection on the ongoing transformations in society and our way of inhabiting the world.
Curated by Francesca Grassi and Domiziana Bani, the exhibition revolves around seven key themes—Tents, Domes, Nomad Living, Energy, Water, Food, and Waste—providing an overview of how design can address contemporary challenges, from climate change to the search for new forms of sustainable living. Beginning with the tent, the first form of human shelter, the journey weaves together the past and the future, exploring design solutions that promote balance with the environment.
The installation, conceived as a modular and interactive system, uses recycled and reusable materials, transforming the space into a fluid and engaging experience. Through a dynamic narrative, Extreme Present transcends the boundary between exhibition and experience, inviting visitors to actively participate in an open dialogue about the future.
