Concept
Enhancing the relationship between formal coherence, functionality, technology, and sustainability are the central themes of the exhibition project showcasing a selection of 35 design products by architect Simone Micheli, created over 35 years of work and 60 years of life.
Images and videos dedicated to architecture and interior design projects will bring to visitors’ attention the essence of Simone Micheli’s projects: translating the complexity of our present into simplicity while having a forward-looking vision towards future trends.
The products and projects presented embody rigor, linearity, and wonder. Their compositional and functional characteristics highlight the author’s idea of luxury: a new balance between man, space, and time, as well as being linked to technology and a “synesthetic project.”
A story of intellectual continuity inherent to the Italian creator, along with his conceptual dictates such as transforming the complexity of our time into simplicity, always seeking to transcend the barriers of the known reality, overcoming stereotypes, imagining hybridization and contamination as necessary oxygenating entities for every project, thinking of light as a physical material, considering the theme of sustainability as an indispensable element in the meta-design phase, always trying to extend the delta between the cost of the product or architectural factory and the market price, defining iconic and strongly distinctive works, generating continuous coherence, paying obsessive attention to every detail, maintaining an active awareness of the continuous variability of people’s socio-behavioral dictates, experiencing the change of scale as a stimulus to build different stories of qualification, always designing in deliberate dissonance with the context, and always placing at the center of every creation the human being, their needs, and their requirements.
